Police: Federal Agents, State Highway Patrol, State Police, State Troopers, County or Municipal Police officers, Detectives, Corporals, Agents, Shift or Watch Commanders, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Commander, Assistant to Deputy Chief.

Corrections: Federal, State and County Correctional and Detention, officers, Sergeants and Captains, Commanders/ Deputy/Assistant Chiefs

We cover the critical job dimensions for most supervisory, mid-level management to executive positions, and demonstrate the relationship of those skills to the job itself. We use performance based scenarios to demonstrate those skills you'll need on the job, through various performance based scenarios. These include Panel Interviews, Oral Interviews, Assessment Centers, Simulations, In-baskets, Leaderless groups, Subordinate counseling sessions, Oral presentations, Accomplishment surveys and Written exercises.

We demystify the Assessment Center process as well as other promotional processes and help clarify what to expect in the actual job.

This two-day workshop will help you:

• Understand what Assessment Centers are or are not

• Understand how you are being rated the assessors

• Demonstrate your transferable skills to the assessors in the exercises

• Link the dimensions of the next rank to your previous experiences

• Conduct a subordinate counseling session or citizens complaint,  and meet the objectives

• Write and orally present at a training briefing, media event, or community meeting (with minimal prep time)

• Facilitate a leaderless group discussion: (May include facilitated vs. non-facilitated, assigned vs. non-assigned roles.

• Practice working through an “In-basket” with a greater understanding of the dimensions assessor are looking for.

• Coach and mentor everyone from the marginal performer to the seasoned veteran

• Set a path for your own career development

• Help your agency develop a succession planning program
